2 + 2: Influence Meet 'n Greet

In just over two weeks I will head down to Indianapolis, Indiana, to attend the Influence Conference!! I'm stoked, but I'll admit that I'm also a little overwhelmed with all I need to do to get organized and ready--biz/blog cards! decide which workshops to take! get a haircut! plan my outfits!--this is my first blog conference after all.

But! Before I hunker down for some serious list-making, here is a little 2 + 2 list for our pre-conference meet and greet...

Two things you will find in my bag:
  1. Batman. The moment Batman and I found each other on the bus that sunny Saturday afternoon, we've been inseparable. Just take a gander at my Instagram reel and you'll see.
  2. Crabby snacks. Low blood sugar = bad news bears. Yes, I'm one of those people... but don't worry, as long as I have good eats, I'm good to go. Anyone want to make a grocery store run Thursday afternoon??
Two things I'm most looking forward to:
  1.  In real life. I'm uber-excited to finally meet the gals I've been reading and tweeting with and looking up to for months and months. Connecting with peeps just jazzes me up. I have a feeling I'm in for a treat.
  2. Sparking. I've been wishing/hoping/dreaming for many moons about how to take this and my other blog to the next level. I'm ready for the spark to get the fires going.

Now, to hunker down and make some lists...

  2. So excited to meet you roomie! We will definitely get along. I also chose snacks as one of my 2 must haves. How can you get through the day without some yummy snacks?? And as for Batman, I'll be watching to see what creative photos you take! There was a fellow high school small group leader at my old church who had a gnome that went everywhere with her and she took some pretty awesome pics. I really like that idea!

    1. Oohhh, I will check it out, thanks for the heads up! Seems like many of us ladies need our snacks--maybe the hotel should arrange a "snack shuttle" for snack runs, ha!

  4. Awww wow! This sounds like an amazing conference! How exciting - so jealous I am stuck in rainy old London!

And I suffer from low blood sugar too - I get really panicky/ ragey if I don't have something on hand to munch on!

Best of luck with the prep!!

    1. You will be there in spirit :) And I think Pittsburgh might rival London with the grey and rain--it rains so much here, so much more than my native CO!

  6. Haha love a good snack addict. Me too...I may have to hop on the snack trip. I don't think there's a TJ's nearby but there are a few others and I'm just saying, I'll have a pretty sweet swagger wagon aka mom van if we need to hop in and go hunting=)
Looking forward to the conference, hope to meet you there!

  8. ok I gotta admit I thought batman was a nickname for your baby maybe? but no, real batman. I love it hah! Also, I'm a crabby snacker too. I must eat if I start to feel hungry. Wait even like 10 minutes and you may as well put me in a snickers commercial. I didn't plan ahead for that last year and regretted it mid-session! I will be bringing snacks this year for sure.

    1. Haha, no babies yet, but not a bad idea for nickname ;) And yes, every time that snickers commercial comes on TV, my husband gives me a knowing look.

  10. Hi Jessi! Finally stopping by your blog...not just twitter. :)
It's my first conference (blog/professional), too. Sparking is an awesome way to put that...I need some of that with my freelance biz.

PS: I'm a native UT girl, guess we're destined to be in neighboring states!
